Terms of Service
Last Updated: 2 February 2026
1. Introduction
These terms govern your use of the Pedagogue platform. By creating an account or using our services, you enter into a legally binding agreement with Pedagogue Ltd. If you are using the platform on behalf of a school, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We use magic link authentication to provide secure, passwordless access; you must ensure your email account remains secure.
3. Types of Accounts
- Individual (Free): allows access to baseline modules and the public Governance Wizard.
- Organisation (Premium/Premium Plus): managed by a school administrator. The school owns the licences and can view staff progress data.
4. Subscriptions and Payment
- Licensing: Premium accounts are billed on an annual school licence or a per-teacher basis.
- Invoice-First: we primarily operate on an invoice-based system. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Reconciliation: we perform quarterly reviews of user counts. If your staff usage exceeds your initial licence count, we will issue a pro-rata invoice for the additional users.
- Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time. No refunds are provided for the remaining term of an annual licence.
5. Acceptable Use
The platform must be used only for professional development and school governance purposes. You must not:
- Share your account access with others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the course content or platform logic.
- Use automated systems to scrape data or complete assessments.
- Misrepresent your identity or school affiliation.
6. Intellectual Property
Pedagogue Ltd and our partners own all intellectual property rights in the platform and course content. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the content for your personal or school professional development.
7. AI Features
Our AI features (Tutorbot and Governance Wizard) are designed to assist, not replace, professional judgement.
- The Tutorbot provides supplementary help; it is not a substitute for pedagogical or technical expertise.
- The Governance Wizard generates templates. These documents must be reviewed, edited, and formally approved by your school leadership or governors before adoption. Pedagogue is not responsible for regulatory or legal issues arising from the use of these templates.
8. Credentials and Certificates
AI Passports and certificates are issued based on the completion of required modules and assessments. We reserve the right to revoke credentials if we identify fraud, cheating, or a violation of these terms. Pedagogue provides a verification service for these credentials but does not guarantee employment or specific regulatory outcomes.
9. Organisation Administrators
Administrators are responsible for managing user access within their school. You must ensure that your invitation of staff members complies with your school's data protection and employment policies.
10. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted. We may suspend access for scheduled maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pedagogue Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the fees paid by you or your school in the 12 months preceding the claim. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
